The Waveney Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State for independent examination on 22 June 2018. Hearing sessions took place between 9th October and 2nd November 2018.

Waveney Local Plan Adopted

The Waveney Local Plan was adopted on 20 March 2019. The plan will be made available online and at deposit points in offices and libraries across the District from 1st April. 


Planning Inspector

Malcolm Rivett BA (Hons) MSc MRTPI has been appointed to conduct the examination to determine whether the Local Plan is sound.

Programme Officer

Annette Feeney has been appointed as the Programme Officer for the examination to deal with all procedural, administrative and programming matters. She is independent from the Council and reports directly to the Inspector. All correspondence or queries relating to the examination should be directed to the Programme Officer:

Examination Document Library

The Examination Document Library includes all supporting evidence and documentation relating to the Local Plan.

Hearing Dates

The hearing sessions (which are part of the overall Examination) took place between:

Tuesday 9 October 2018 – Friday 12 October 2018;
Tuesday 16 October 2018 – Friday 19 October 2018; and
Tuesday 30 October 2018 – Friday 2 November 2018
